Purr-sonality Profile – Croi
Age: Approx 12 years old
Microchipped: Yes – (adopter will need to re-register)
Croì (pronounced Cree) is Irish for heart. This little lady was gifted her name because she is the most precious, sweet girl – with a whole lot of heart! We are certain she was once a loving house cat but had obviously been on the streets for some considerable time when we rescued her.
Croì was ear-tipped when she came into our care which means at some point a human had trapped her, taken her to the vet and had her spayed but released her back into the wild. She is definitely not a feral cat and is so relieved and very, verrrrrry grateful to be in the warm and dry, with access to food, water, warmth and love.
She is a big softie who is very gentle and loving. She really enjoys snoozing in her fosterers’ laps. When cuddled and stroked she purrs and purrs. She is a cat who doesn’t seem to appreciate the company of other cats but loves sharing her space with humans, looking often for attention. She is relaxed and she’s enjoys the company of humans just staying in the same room, or sharing the sofa, and she loves to share the bed at night. She doesn’t like being left alone for long periods.
She is in the early stages of kidney failure but this can be managed with the Royal Canin Renal Food, which she loves. She is happy and fully housetrained – always using her litter tray and never scratching the furniture.
She needs a calm, peaceful, indoor only home with no children/ dogs nor other cats. She would make an ideal companion for a retired person or someone who works mainly from home.
